Surfers from all over the world come to Chesterman Beach to challenge the raw forces of nature. For the first time ever a Cold Water Classic surf championship was held on Chesterman Beach with the honour of first place going to Peter DeVries a local Tofino born resident. Young and old gather on the beach to experience the thrill of riding the surf. There are many surf schools and equiptment rental outfitters in Tofino to supply you with all the gear and training required.
